The Brookline Tab endorsed Mike Capuano in today’s issue:
Brookline —
All four Democrats jostling to fill the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat are serious, accomplished candidates who would bring different strengths to the job. But for Brookline voters, we think Rep. Mike Capuano offers the best combination of liberal ideals and gritty pragmatism – two qualities we feel are crucial to the issues that will face Massachusetts and the nation in the near future.
Conspicuously absent from the editorial is any mention of the other three candidates. I will leave to other pundits the question of whether this is an insult to Brookline resident Alan Khazei, a nod of appreciation to his Brookline neighbor Mike Dukakis (who made an unusual and high profile endorsement of Mike Capuano last Sunday), neither, or both.
