GOTG – Get out the Gold

December 7, 2009 By doubleman

I just read this WBUR piece about last minute GOTV efforts.

Pagliuca had an interesting comment/possible freudian slip.

“We’ve got a great field organization that’s going to be getting the gold out – vote out, and we’re all over the state,” he told reporters. “Got signs all over the state. The signs are being deployed. So hopefully we’ll get the momentum. I think people only really started to focus on this in the last couple of weeks. We’ve had 50 percent of the people undecided, and 25 percent leaning, so the whole electorate is up for grabs.”

Not news, but it’s funny given the spending he’s done in this campaign.  Maybe Pagliuca has realized that the best way for him to get votes is just direct payment to voters.  Get that gold out, Steve.

I’ll be voting around 9am in Cambridgeport if any Pagliuca campaign staff members want to come by and negotiate.  Bring large bills.

Honestly, though, someone should tell the Pagliuca campaign that putting up signs is not a very effective GOTV strategy.  I suspect he’ll find that out tomorrow night.

Please share widely!

I’d need most of a barrel before I’d be ready to vote for Pags.
