Health Care For All has released a powerful new video in support of national health care reform. Massachusetts patients, doctors, students, consumer advocates, and representatives of small business and labor come together and talk about why we need national health reform and why it is good for the Commonwealth.
We understand that Massachusetts members of Congress are not hearing enough strong support for reform. We need to raise our voices. We’ve set up a site, NationalHealthReformIsGoodForMA.org with tools so you can sign an electronic petition, or call or send an email to your Representative.
Now is the time. Click on the site, take action, and spread the word.

why haven’t we seen other states — particularly adjacent states — follow Massachusetts’ lead? If RI or CT or VT followed suit, wouldn’t that strengthen the push?

Our former Gov. Mitt Romney has been on Fox trash-talking health insurance reform, saying what he was part of starting here is profoundly different from what President Obama wants to start nationally. Nonsense.
<
p>Add to that the Scott Brown win — and the relentless media meme that Massachusetts must hate health reform! — and we are at the center of the debate in these last days. The debate and vote counting is scary-close. And we can affect it.
<
p>It’s important that Massachusetts speak up and make a difference. Our start at reform is just that, a start. But we know it well. It’s time to say what we know. And it’s time for the rest of country to see for real what we have begun here, however imperfectly, and demand it for themselves.

p>Share the video with your contacts outside Mass.

p>He’s in the Boston Globe today telling every Democrat seeking re-election in November that Massachusetts sent him to DC as a message about health reform.
<
p>This meme has had a destructive stranglehold on the media for months. We can take it down by speaking up. Thanks for doing what you can to set the record straight and get your friends to.

Each of us needs to do the easy but necessary work of calling Brown, Kerry and our Congressman, EVERY DAY, and get the word out.
<
p>When I saw that Boston.com headline, emailed immediately to tell Brown he’s wrong: I DO want health care reform.
<
p>And after I sent a call out, others said they were compelled to call to help set the record straight.
<
p>The opponents are calling EVERY DAY. I hear that HCR wafflers like Lynch are hearing primarily from opposition.
<
p>For all the calling, organizing, protesting and blogging we’ve been doing, we can’t let the opposition stage a blow-out in the final moments of the game.
<
p>CALL!! Every day!! And tell your friends to do the same.
