Roll up your sleeves, pick a campaign, and get to work!

March 22, 2010 By AmberPaw

In case you haven’t noticed, no incumbent has a lock on office in the next election AND there are a record number of open seats.

Scott Brown doesn’t guarentee that Republicans will win this year.

A “D” after one’s name does not guarentee that a Democrat will win, either.

Heads up.  THIS year whoever works longest and hardest will keep their elected position – or gain that open seat.

And remember Kate Donoghue’s rules for attracting and keeping volunteers – I could summarize those rules as organize, communicate, appreciate, and feed them!.  Never take volunteer campaign workers for granted – but especially not THIS record breaking year with its bumper crop of hard fought campaigns.

THAT all being said, get ready, get set, campaign!

I keep talking to people who are burned out on MA politics, and I keep telling them that if there was ever an election year where their work would make a difference, it’s this year.
