Vote for Opening Day – And Other Stuff

El Prez at Barstool Sports thinks Larry Lucchino hands were tied on the Opening Day/Night issue. He posted and gave his reasons but also gave us one of his polls. Thus allowing anyone with a computer to weigh in (no sign up required) using a scale of 1 to 10.

When it started yesterday morning the pro-Larry and Red Sox voting dominated. (Larry must have sent out an e-mail blast to the minions) However the tide started to change and is creeping up as over 400 people have voted. (The site gets 25 million page views a month – of course I’m not sure if that is more of Prez’ excellent propaganda)

So I gave you the link. If you like, please go and vote. Whatever your opinion. But if you think the Sox are rat bastards for canceling opening day then do an e-mail blast asking your friends to do the same.

For no other reason than pissing off Larry. He’ll have to send out more memos and call Rasky’s office to get his voting numbers up.

I think Search and Avoid Dan Conley wants a parade for not indicting the guy that saved the Mass General doctor’s life.

For once not indicting a cop is the right thing to do, right Dan?

Here’s another exampleof the investigators investigating their own. Good for the chief for releasing the names. Other cops need to see this. But that is far from enough. Protocols insist that each department investigate their own.

Not good. Not good at all. For everyone concerned. Including the poor bastards that have to do the investigations on members of their own force.

Good to see that the world is finally realizing that the Catholic Church’s sanctuary and enabling pedophiles program was not just a Boston thing. (like racism) That always pissed me off when this was going on. Like it was just a Boston problem with a few exceptions.

I dare you to find a Cardinal in the developed world who didn’t in some way or another, through actions or inactions, contribute to pedophilia.

A total melt down of the current Papacy may be just what the Doctor ordered. The Church will survive of course. And this will be another blip on the screen of outrageous actions by the Church and insidious characters becoming Pope.

The NY Times sold a small fraction of its 18% ownership of the Boston Red Sox to a venture capitalist. I’m sure this moneyed big shot is hoping to wear a World Series ring around California, where he lives, just like a few of the New York Times execs get to wear there’s around New York. You know the execs I mean. The ones that got the multi million dollar bonuses after taking years off hundreds off the lives of hundreds of Globe workers and ex workers and their families.

Hope he enjoys Opening Night.

  1. ..remember that flood is NOT covered on homeowners’ insurance, but is specifically excluded like Acts of War and Airplanes.  Coverage comes ONLY flood insurance. And Flood coverage is only available from National Flood Insurance program, gubmint as opposed to greedy heartless property insurers.
