A friend who is in this year’s NLC class invited me to this. If the organizers were able to get it front paged at BMG it’s probably worth the $25 (maybe even the $50 if the prizes are any good!)

The Biolab (or Bioterror lab) is having yet another hearing at exactly the same time (almost to the minute) to once again flog their attempt to bring active (and deadly) samples of Anthrax and Smallpox and Ebola into one of the densest and most economically challenged neighborhoods in the city of Boston.
<
p>I realize that it is probably too much to expect of our elected officials to actually show up and demonstrate their opposition to this idiotic and self-distructive proposal, when it would mean taking a position contrary to Menino. By all means, put raising campaign donations above actually doing your job and caring about the health and welfare of the people of Boston.
<
p>If the city councilors who are going to attend this event had any backbone, they would at least attempt to get the New Leaders Council to shift the time of this event back an hour or two so that they could demonstrate leadership by being at the Biolab hearing at the Copley Library, rather than just talk about leadership at a fundraiser.

I think people might like to know about it.

I have never written a post before, but will see if I can get through the process.

Just click “write a new post” in the Menu box, and follow the instructions. Don’t forget to click “preview” and then “save” when you’re done. There are tips on how to do links etc. here.

I clicked “Preview” and “Save”, but nothing is shown up yet. If there is a delay factor, or it needs to be reviewed, hopefully it will be up soon.

It is the Copley Marriott, not the Copley library. Sorry about that.
