What will a Deval victory say about the power of conservative talk radio in Boston?

October 17, 2010 By masshysteria

Never asked a tough question, never probed for biases or competence, every campaign stop by these traveling evangelicals is filled with tales of passionate conservative jihadists, all committed to the destruction of Deval and Pelosi; liberals and illegals; incumbents and the Globe; and any and all TAXES.

So what happens on November 2nd when Governor Patrick is reelected, the three questions are defeated, the nine incumbents are sent back to Congress, and the gains by Republicans in the Mass. House and Senate are pathetic?

What do they say Nov. 3 and who is still listening on Nov. 4?

It’s been said before, but is worth repeating: there is nothing uglier than a mob misled!

They will still get high ratings and stay on the air, they did nothing to help Brown win. MA is still a fairly liberal state, the only Republicans we elect are Weldian moderates or the occasional Ed King/Scott Brown populist revolt that usually lasts as long as as the electorate wants it to before it corrects itself, typically a term. Brown won because the Democrats did not nominate a compelling candidate, we all took the race for granted and no one showed up, and the DSCC got into the race too late to make a difference. His votes against unemployment benefits, against Kagan, against repealing Dont As Don’t Tell, and his votes against health care reform will hurt him in the long run, lets just hope we have a compelling candidate.
