Unions and Obama Kickoff 2012 Election

April 6, 2011 By fletcher

His campaign is expected to break all records with a campaign fund eclipsing $1 billion.  Much of this money will come from his comrades in Big Labor. That’s right, a bulk of his campaign cash will come from the very unions we are fighting right now in Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, Indiana and many other states.

We have been fighting to expose the radical Obama agenda from the beginning and have been leading the fight against the union protestors in these key states.

Our ads and videos are reminding the American people that their tax dollars pay the salaries of these public union protestors that skip work to demand more benefits and higher pay even though they already receive more than the private sector.

    Let’s see.

    <

    p>

In just 2 years, Obama took over much of the American healthcare system, auto industry, banking industry, housing industry and student loan industry among others.

    <

p>The “takeover” of the health care system is of course a Glenn Beck-sponsored falsehood.  Have you noticed that your health care now comes from the gubmint?  Neither have I.  The auto industry bailout has actually been a huge success, saving thousands of American jobs and saving one of America’s last major manufacturing industries from total collapse, and Obama’s only mistake there is not taking more credit for it.  The banking industry bailout was engineered by Henry Paulson and the Bush administration; the Wall Street reform bill is designed to prevent the need for another such bailout in the future and does not remotely resemble what an actual “takeover” would look like.  I have no idea what you’re talking about with respect to the housing industry.  And the student loan reform was an excellent one; those lenders were major corporate welfare recipients (since the loans were federally guaranteed), and deserved to be shut down.  Unless you like corporate welfare.

    <

p>Obama surely hasn’t been perfect, but the risible field of Republican wannabes offers little more than an outstanding source of material for late night comedians.  So, 4 more years?  You betcha.

    Healthcare takeover – I wish!

    <

    p>Banking takeover – I wish!

    <

p>Auto takeover? – still private last I checked

    <

    p>Student Loan takeover – excellent!

    <

    p>Pro-European – I wish!

    <

p>Debt – sure, by going along with extending tax breaks for the superrrich

    <

p>Money from unions we are fighting – Who’s this “we”?

    <

p>Eclipsing $1B – you didn’t think he’d take corporate cash against him lying down, did you?

    <

p>Whose ads and videos?  You write as if you represent an organization, but provide no links or even introduction.

Throw in “government takeover” and give yourself all five!

I’ve already been addressing this issue and have reached quite a few people, especially those concerned with unionized government workers.  The people I’ve spoken with understand now why we need to support unions, public and private, especially during this critical time when the plutocracy is trying desperately to kick all worker in the shins and make sure they never have a chance to get ahead in this society.

    <

p>Stop trashing workers. Or, no, actually, keep trashing workers.  My knee jerk reaction is to fight back, but you are actually losing support among working Americans, unionized or not, because we all work hard for our living, and when you trash the unions, you trash us all.

…to this overreaching union busting is that these states may turn out big for Dems in 2012.  MI, WI, PA, IN, OH, and NJ are all mid to large states and put us well on the way to 270 electoral votes and Congressional majorities.

I guess we’ll find out in the next year or so whether they will fight for the rights and welfare of the working middle class or will cave to the fear of obnoxious faux panic spreaders like fletcher.

…and I’m thinking that will benefit the entire ticket.
