Scott Brown says he’ll vote to gut Medicare

May 15, 2011 By David

Is Scott Brown already on record as supporting Paul Ryan’s budget – which, as we know, might as well be entitled the “Medicare Destruction Act of 2011”? I’m not sure he’s said so in so many words before, but he did yesterday, up in Newburyport.

Brown discussed the ongoing budget deliberations in similar terms, suggesting the process could be streamlined to greater effect.

“The leaders will bring forward (Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s) budget, and I will vote for it, and it will fail,” he said. “Then the president will bring forward his budget, and it will fail.

“It will be great fodder for the commercials.”

Well, there it is. Ryan, as we’ve already discussed, is a fraud, and his budget is a bad joke, to the point that some in his own party are already bailing. At this point, anyone who votes for it is either a fool, or hopelessly cynical about the proper way to govern a nation. Not sure which category to put Brown in.

    Must we choose only one?

Marisa DeFranco promises to protect Medicare. She wants to take the people’s seat next year.

that I Scott Brown would do anything to our seniors (sob, sob). I have a mother who is a senior. Why do people attack me?

Ahem, senator Brown, well, to be fair, you did vote to destroy Medicare.

that middle and upper-income seniors will have to pay more for their medical care in the future.
