On today’s LeftAhead Podcast, Mike and I had US Senate candidate and longtime immigration attorney Marisa DeFranco on as our guest. As Mike describes her, she’s “a competent, confident candidate with a wide and deep platform [who] joined us today to talk about her replacing U.S. Sen. Scott Brown next year.”
In this economy, her focus is on jobs and how to get things back on track, but we also asked questions about her background, how she expects to compete in this race and her professional career as an immigration attorney, and how that relates to the US Senate — along with what her ideas would be to fix immigration.
She is not afraid of the progressive label and wants to lead a grassroots campaign that builds from the trenches of the activist base of this state, and then out.
