As we wait out Hurricane Irene, check out the new game at The People’s Seat. The perfect site for people who are both political geeks AND basketball fans. It’s called MaSen Madness.

Ok #masen fans, it’s time for a bit of end of summer fun. It seems like everyday we have another candidate or potential candidate for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts. But which candidate has what it takes to dominate the field and win the right to take on Scott Brown?
It’s time for you to decide, as Peoplesseat.com presents…
#MaSen Madness.
64 Democratic candidates.
Two weeks of head to head matchups.
WHO WILL SURVIVE?
Steve Grossman is asking for votes…”Ben’s a good friend, but I tie a better Windsor knot! Please consider voting for me in “The People Seat” US Senate Challenge!”
So is Steve Kerringan..”Help me with a win from behind….every loves an upset in the tournament. Vote on this link…thanks.”
Sigh, I didn’t make the poll, despite my “many” passionate fans, here and here (I couldn’t link the comment – you’ll have to scroll to find it). No write-ins I guess.
Have some fun before the power goes out.

Honest, the link was working when I started on this. I’ll let you know when I can access it again.

Well the site is up, but you can’t vote right now. Oh. well.

that you can tell who’s behind that site.

You would have my vote, Kate, in almost any bracket.

Some interesting match-ups to watch. In the Congressional bracket, #16 seed Steve Kerrigan is gaining on Marty Meehan. Steve is at 37%. Keep that in mind all of you who are looking for credentials at the DNC Convention. In the political region, top seeded Elizabeth Warren is at a very respectable 84% against #16 Herb Robinson. Herb is at 16% crossing the magic 15% threshold that gets him on the ballot at the Convention.
Bean thanks for the support! Maybe Conor will substitute me in? I don’t think they can do that.

I’ve been watching Steve in the poll. He’s been gaining. The site seems to be down again. On Facebook there was a comment…

Huge second half for Kerrigan, who now leads Meehan 51-49 (he is up by 5 votes).

Thanks for the plug, Kate.
Apparently the free polling app I am using has a certain quota that we keep hitting late in the day. You can usually vote in the morning and afternoon before it crashes. Voting for Round One ends Sunday.

My choice was the winning choice at the time for 30 of 32. The only two where I disagreed with the masses… Warren vs. Murray, and Meehan vs. Kerrigan.
