Support Mark Miller for State Representative

August 23, 2011 By liveandletlive

Please support Mark Miller for state representative from the 3rd Berkshire District.  Mark Miller is a member of the Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party and has a very good chance of winning this seat in the special election on Tuesday October 18, 2011.

This is a great opportunity for the two parties that are dear to my heart to come together, work together, and fight together for the values that mean everything to us.

If you live in his district, please cast your vote for Mark Miller.  Let’s show our leaders that we are willing to do what it takes to bring our voices back to the table.

I’m not in the district, but I’d love to see Mark Miller win this race. The one-party domination of Beacon Hill has got to end – and I do not want it ended by supporters of Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, etc.

I have gone through Miller’s website and read some interviews he has done. I’m impressed. I’d love to see the beginnings of a multi-party democracy here in the Commonwealth. Having a stronger Green Party here would benefit us all.

Side note: to get more legitimacy, the Green-Rainbow Party should really consider changing its name to the Green Party. I am aware of the history of the merger with the Rainbow Coalition Party, but continuing to refer to itself as the “Green-Rainbow” Party will only make it sound like a leftist fringe party to the average voter.

it also makes the Green Party on a national level seem fragmented and makes voters wonder whether the Massachusetts GRP is a part of the Green Party or something different. Not sure if that will change anytime soon. In the meantime, it would benefit all of us to see Mark Miller win this race.

I believe the name of the Democratic Party in Minnesota is Democratic-Farm Labor Party. Is there a Democratic candidate in this race as well? If so I would be concerned about splitting the vote.
