DeLeo Meme

March 10, 2012 By progressivemax

I was hoping Bob Neer would be willing to add this to his weekly joke review.

I don't normally pass legislation ...but when I do it's a bill establishing a sick bank.

And the balanced budget is, itself, a fiction. Take a fictional projection which everyone knows is not accurate. Lowball the vulnerable, but promise to use supplimental budgets to meet their needs. When a supplimental budget is needed for these lowballed, deliberately underfunded accouant – blame everyone else. Blame the poor for being on food stamps. Blame indigent defense for accepting court appointments and doing their job (and never mention all the new crimes that bump up the number of court appointments and the needs of defendants). Blame the ill for creating their own illnesses by eating wrong and therefore being ill.

Great Meme! Thank you. And what is a sick bank? It is a way to give special extra sick days to a state employee because of the generosity of other state employees who donate their sick days. Does not cost the state “more” sick days,it is a kind of donation from one employee to another.

Great link as to why what is being done to the MBTA constitutes class and social blindness – at best http://bostinno.com/all-series/who-rides-the-t-justice-in-transit-according-to-the-demographics-of-the-mbta-maps/
