It’s not rocket science. It’s an advertising truism.
“He who yells loudest wins.”
Right now Scott is yelling loudest.
And at this point in this race another truism comes into play.
“People only remember the bad stuff.”
Time for Liz to make sure the undecided and some current Brown voters see the other Scott Brown.
The one that puts Scott Brown first and the Massachusetts people last.
After getting elected to Senate he immediately cashed in. Slimy rapid ascent in National Guard and sudden close relationship with top general. Conflicts of interest all over the place. Both using Guard and US Senate unethically.
How about Scott’s phony war deployment? And his medal for giving a speech. There are many real war veterans and medal recipients out there who are appalled with Scott.
The Warren campaign has more on him and they have people that can put together an effective series of ads casting doubt on Scott’s man of the people persona.
The most important thing is to run the ads everywhere over and over again. He who yells loudest, remember?
Yes throw in the positive ads. But Warren has smart creative ad people on the payroll. The order should go out from the top. Get the truth out to everyone within the next two weeks.
TV radio print and guerilla marketing.
This man cashed in on a $700,000.00 dollar book deal before he cast a vote in the Senate (I think – check the timing of that)
And he’s a punk. he can lose his cool. Warren campaign must push his buttons as much as they can.
Check out this Herald story about the lady upset she’s in a Brown TV ad. Check out the part where Brown mouthed off to her when he realized she wasn’t with him.
This is bare knuckle politics. It’s not negative it’s responding to the current situation, the a-hole Eric Ferhnstrom.
BTW Scott, what votes did you make to satisfy the RNC so they would let Ayla sing the National Anthem at the convention. Not knocking your family, just wondering about the quid pro quo for the independent senator. How much did the pay Ayla for the night? Who set that gig up?
Two weeks left. Time to really fight, don’t get suckered and rely on the poll numbers. Scott’s ads are abundant and devastating.
P.S. He’a a mother under the bus thrower and he called his grandmother a whore. Anything to sell a book.

It seems to me that Scott Brown’s yelling is destroying his support.
If Ms. Warren starts yelling, then it’s just a shouting match. If I’m in court, and I want the judge and jury to conclude that the other side is an incompetent loud-mouthed idiot who lies every time his lips move, then when the bozo starts yelling, lying, and acting incompetent I think my best strategy is to stand silently, smile, and occasionally shake my head in disbelief. The judge and jury get the message, and when I join in yelling I only dilute my message.

hers are now higher than his. Unless we see numbers to the contrary, the only conclusion here is that what she’s doing is effective and what he’s doing isn’t.

the recent history of MA elections seems to offer different lessons. Kerry Healey surely tried the “yell louder and more negatively strategy”; so did Charlie Baker. And so, for that matter, did Martha Coakley. In each case, they looked like losers, and so they were.

When Kerry Healy ran ads attacking Deval they did not ring true. Same as Tierney ads against Tisie.
Brown is different. There is a ring of truth to Scott being a fraud. He does not care about the people only himself.
How can he be protecting the enlisted man when at the first opportunity he got in bed with the top brass. In return he got underserved promotion and a medal. Plus helpful shenanigans to male it appear Scott is a war time vet.

is yelling at the top of his lungs, “I’m an a$$hole,” sometimes it’s better to stay positive.
Personally, I would prefer to go for the jugular, but I think the Warren campaign is doing the right thing by standing by and letting Brown poke himself in the eye.

You can’t just pick one of these things randomly; people rebel at that. This is what Healy, Baker to a degree and now Brown have done, and badly.
There has to be something there first. The overblown negative story has to fit something negative about the guy that is already there.
That also explains why Tisei isn’t suffering as Brown is for going negative– it seems rather clear that Tierney is a crook.

It seems rather clear that Tierney can be spun as a crook.
