Did I hear Toes isn’t playing? And Thornton’s stick knocked out the Blackhawks best defenseman?

And hopefully we can beat the hawks!

Does the heat and humidity today make anyone else nostalgic for the old Garden and the days (20+ years ago) of fog delays and power outages?

Although the flies constnatly buzzing around the camera above center ice shows the spirit of the Old Guard isn’t entirely dead.

At least the refs are doing all they can to help out the B”s.

The Mrs. to be has now bashed Rancort and feels ‘Boston Strong’ has been hijacked by a sports team. I’ve grown to dislike most of the Blackhawks I was rooting for before this series. I need us to win this and win Wed.

After 20+ years of my wife not giving a rat’s hindquarters about hockey, I can say that it uncomplicates the relationship a bit.

I can hear your future Mrs. from here after that goal. Oops, now those two goals. I was ready for OT. Now it may be the Cup presentation.

I got to the TD Banknorth Garden this afternoon, but decided not to buy the $420.00 ticket (base price) from the actual box office. Our Boston Bruins are great players. Bob Sweeney of times past publicly appeared in The Greatest Bar Boston. I ate chicken tenders in The Greatest Bar.

A couple of other past Bruins greats publicly appeared in other Garden neighborhood bars, like the one beside The Grand Canal on Canal Street.

I have been drinking a bunch of warm beer in pubs this month watching sports. The Chicken Bone in my town Framingham serves a cold glass of Jack’s Abby, but I dread their having just one restroom unit for their whole restaurant. The Greatest Bar Boston and Sullivan’s Tap each offer more urinals.

I went in and out of Halfway Pizza, too, which had droves of people, but still had a little room for more. Halfway Pizza is not as cheap as can be, but they have a huge staff to support with their gross revenues.

The bars with Bruins on TV for this championship series have had lots of people, but often still seating and standing capacity remains.

Angry Ham’s Garage in my town is run by Bruin player L.B. The Garage has a fix of old farts such as myself (and the same old-same olds of us who rotate to O’Connell’s Pub and Owen O’Leary’s and wherever the heck else).

I enjoyed watching our Bruins on television score goals and produce offense which might have made more possible. Krug #47 is an exciting new player.

And now the Garden boos then applauds the winners.

I did OK parking in Jamaica Plain, paying nothing for parking itself near the empty Acapulco restaurant. Tres Gatos was Jampacked with their Tallahas(s)ee music jam fund raiser. Canary Square had a bunch of dining tables available, but a jampacked bar section. The ground floor Paulaner Munchen off North Station Commuter Rail waiting area was packed to the max (with no room to seat or let stand one single person more).

Nearly deafened by her, by our neighbors, and it will be a tough two weeks. I may even have to attend the parade. And Chicken Bone was featured on Bar Rescue, seems like a solid spot.

Congrats to the Hawks. Long live the Original Six. And NHL, when you do a realignment next time, do us old school folks a favor and stick all six teams in the same division. Please? At least we get four of them together next year.

Then we won’t have an O-6 final again. As it stands now the only way that happens is if the Blackhawks win the West and one of the other five wins the East.

We could always get rid of those 24 other teams and go back to two rounds of playoffs. 🙂

And just like that, the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Everett City Council has zero diverse voices but no one cares as the “fight against racism” is highly selective, opportunistic, and politicized around here.

The Meaning of African American Studies. The discipline emerged from Black struggle. Now the College Board wants it to be taught with barely any mention of Black Lives Matter. #UrbanAgenda #BOSpoli #MApoli

Those who are chronically homeless without shelter suffer from high rates of untreated severe substance use disorders & mental illness. States have a legal & ethical obligation to step in & help vulnerable people who can’t act for themselves. #MAPOLI https://theconversation.com/the-ethical-dilemmas-behind-plans-for-involuntary-treatment-to-target-homelessness-mental-illness-and-addiction-198707?fbclid=IwAR2pYO2-l7UKBci_C7st5Jhdld1u_f_hXpbQc_HCf5vnJ9D1a1QyJ199D_8
