Over the past few months, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many Boston residents while campaigning for my husband, John Barros. I believe in John and that he is the only candidate for Mayor that will make Boston truly inclusive through a democratic process that includes more seats at the table.
I would be remiss, however, if I didn’t acknowledge that some of my motivation is selfish. Education is my issue. I’m a proud mother to our one-year-old son, John Jr., and, well almost any minute now, we will welcome our second son into our home.
I’m a graduate of Boston Latin School, Dartmouth College, and Harvard Business School, but my education went beyond the classroom. It included community involvement at a very young age and participation in various youth programs across the city. All of these created enormous possibilities and opportunities for me.
With John Baros as Mayor of Boston these same opportunities can be within reach of every child in Boston. But don’t just take my word for it, listen to Jesse Solomon talk about John’s approach to education.

You’ve linked to the wrong video. And you’ve neglected to explain why your husband sought Stand for Children’s Walton Family money for his campaign.
I’ve got three children in Boston Public Schools and no patience for pseudo-reformers trying to advance the Walton agenda in the name of reform.
