Literally.
Our own blogger marthews and 4th Amendment guru posted about the
rally that took place yesterday in an effort to spread awareness of a national….oops, make that international scandal of the Bush-era, Obama Administration tactics with massive surveillance.
The march (or rally) in Washington D.C. Saturday, October 26, 2013 was attended by thousands of people from across the United States. Speakers included ACLU representatives and a message delivered by the Russian government from self-exiled, Edward Snowden.
Mr. Snowden, the former contractor for the National Security Agency (NSA) who provided leaks about agency phone and Internet interceptions, is a key figure in the current controversy involving the agency. His message to the rally came as a statement sent from Russia, where he now lives under temporary asylum to avoid prosecution in the United States.
Snowden described “a system of pervasive surveillance” operating against American citizens, and he urged technology and free rights activists to spread awareness of the spying violations in the name of reform.
Is this what you expected, wanted, accept from the POTUS?

The WH didn’t get antsy about the spying until the sundry heads-of-state found they were part of the show. Now the “leader of the free world” looks like he is trying to get a Sgt Schultz award to go with his Nobel. This guy seems to know nothing when the airflow to the fan is disturbed.
In this land where votes are paid for in advertising dollars spent, the public is a toothless foe, already broken. Advertising propaganda is the strongest weapon of all.
Anyone still waiting for the Governor to discipline those that ordered the illegal entering of homes by “security forces” (a misnomer if ever there was one) during the bomber manhunt? Maybe we shouldn’t hold our breath. Do you think they would have ordered politicians from their homes? Would it have been done in Newton?
The class war is over. The People lost to the plutocrats. It started and ended with a whimper. This is no longer our government. Law applies to you, not to the plutocrats and their henchmen.
