The Boston Globe is reporting that US Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire raised more than $2.8m in the 2nd quarter and has more than $5 million on-hand. Carpetbagger Scott Brown has not yet reported his fundraising but the deadline for reporting is July 15th. If you are like me, please take a moment to simply enjoy the Schadenfreude.

Most polling seems to show NH leaning Democratic or better for the Senate race. It is Landrieu, Pryor, Hagan, and Begich who all have close races. Last time I looked, we could only afford one loss among the four of them. So please consider contributing to the races in Louisiana, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Alaska.

Cotton is making some Akin like statements while also has the Cantor problem of spending more time with DC insiders and less time with the folks. I think Pryor, a great retail campaigner with long roots in the state, will seal the deal. Mary is gonna need her brother to really get the black vote out in NOLA or she is SOL, and Hagan’s numbers also seem to be stabilizing. I am getting more confident that we can actually keep the Senate, and we may even have a GA or KY upset. But I’ve been burned before.

    From the New Hampshire Journal:

Pro-Rubens PAC hitting Brown on his ‘real record’: “A New Hampshire super PAC filed in the spring to promote Jim Rubens’ campaign for the U.S. Senate has begun hammering Rubens’ primary foe Scott Brown as a candidate who is not being honest about his true record with GOP primary voters. The New Hampshire PAC to Save America unveiled RealScottBrownRecord.com, which says that Brown voted with President Barack Obama between 61 and 78 percent of the time from 2010 to 2012, praised his relationship with Obama and backed tax increases and more gun control. Veteran Republican strategist Michael Dennehy, who is advising the PAC, said on a conference call with reporters that while Brown is accusing Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of backing a federal gas tax hike (which her campaign denies), Brown himself supported a “back-door” gas tax hike while in the Massachusetts legislature.” http://bit.ly/1qJH3zk

If he can’t even get nominated his career is over.

“The fault dear Scotto, lies in our stars but in ourselves”
