Watch Rep. Ayanna Pressley brave hecklers (!!!) while delivering a message of defiance to child torturers at CBP.
It may occur to you: How are there pro-child-torture hecklers? What kind of human being does the things that are happening within these Customs and Border Patrol prisons? What thin veil of rationalization allows such abuse, at every level?
Like so many things, I wouldn’t have thought that child abuse and torture were partisan issues. But if they are … choose the right side.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley: “I learned a long time ago that when change happens it’s either because people see the light or they feel the fire.
“We’re lifting up these stories in the hopes that you will see the light. And if you don’t, we will bring the fire.” https://t.co/h8To0MWPpa pic.twitter.com/VFC8O4HBsQ

This is why I voted for her. We need someone with balls and a fire in their belly who is there to take names and not just collect a pension. Her victory is also inspiring a lot of much needed local primary challenges.
My recollection of Mike Capuano is of someone with a fire in their belly. I reject the insinuation that the Mike Capuano I know was there to “just collect a pension”. For heaven’s sake, the criticism against him when he ran in the special election for the Senate was that he was overly contentious and too eager to fight.
I want to remind us that it was Mike Capuano who, in 2011, said regarding the Wisconsin budget protests:
I think Mike Capuano would be just as aggressive as Ms. Pressley if he were still in office.
What I wonder about is what Ms. Pressley is doing to force the initiation an impeachment investigation. I understand what she’s talking about, and that’s different.
I want to know what she’s DOING, and how that compares to what I’m pretty sure Mike Capuano would have been doing since January.
I wasn’t able to get the embedded video in the thread-starter to work on my computer using Chrome.
I found what I think is the same clip on youtube, and I offer it here for your convenience.
