What’s happening out there?
In Arlington, we elected a 40 member delegation with all 40 pledged to Maura Healey. All of the contested statewide candidates Zoomed into our virtual caucus. Kim Driscoll had connectivity issues, though Diana DiZoglio had an aide attempt to speak for her. At least two candidates were zooming in from the Marlborough caucus, which was held in person.

Lowell caucused all wards virtually yesterday. At most only two had any real contests. I’m not aware of active slate-making though I know one of our members was doing a bit of rounding up for Healey and Palfrey. There were also a couple of folks who definitely wanted to be delegates for Galvin. We did not have candidates speak live, but invited them to submit a short video greeting, and even then the technical gremlins had other ideas. A couple others I would have attended were scheduled simultaneously with Lowell so I could not this year.

In previous years posts like this have been front-paged and I suggest doing so again.

Danielle Allen has withdrawn and has whined about the caucus process on her way out. Honestly I think she had a shot at being on the ballot and I’m not sure why she gave up after just a few caucuses. Most people in my experience aren’t really talking about whom they are supporting this year.
(I’m really disappointed there is so little interest in this thread. Time was this would have gotten lots of traction on BMG.)
