First published in the Anchorage Daily News, it seems that every political blog and gossip column in America has picked up this story (say what you will about Palin, the woman knows how to make news!).
Even the veritable Providence Journal has picked up the story and includes this key quote from the state GOP Chairman:
“We would certainly welcome her,” [Giovani] Cicione said. But he also questioned why she would want to come – given the Ocean State’s Democratic leanings.
“Anyone who wants to move to Rhode Island, we would have to question their sanity,” he said.
Way to sell your state, buddy.
This probably is a rumor, after all. But on the off chance that it isn’t, I’d like to surmise the feelings of most New Englanders:
There goes the neighborhood.
