Emergency Rally for HCR – Tues (1/26/10) 6pm at MGH

January 23, 2010 By dayswithdave 12 Comments

In light of the special election loss and the national lack of courage to fight for Health Care Reform we need to make our voices heard.

Please show up if you can. Walking distance from the Charles/MGH stop on the Red Line. Rally point is outside the Mass General Hospital ER. I recommend taking train due to parking/traffic.

Excuse the caps. I am making my voice heard. Moveon is further left than the KKK is to the right.

        Mother Theresa (R)
        Adolf Hitler (D)
Which one are you choosing? Yep! You’re a democrat!
Please forgive my Hitler reference. Some folks just need that big a wake up call.

Neither chose a US party.  Why do you think anybody here would favor Hitler over Mother Teresa for anything?

Republican policies prove even less popular, with 58 percent of Massachusetts voters saying they are dissatisfied or angry about what the Republicans in Congress are offering. Among Brown voters, 60 percent give positive marks to the policies of congressional Republicans, but a sizable number, 37 percent, offer a negative appraisal.

            <

            p>I’ve already mentioned this:

            <

            p>

Nearly two-thirds of Brown’s voters say their vote was intended at least in part to express opposition to the Democratic agenda in Washington, but few say the senator-elect should simply work to stop it. Three-quarters of those who voted for Brown say they would like him to work with Democrats to get Republican ideas into legislation in general; nearly half say so specifically about health-care legislation.

            <

p>My take: Everyone needs to step up their game.  Obama especially.

in his press conference on Friday and in his weekly address on Saturday.

              <

p>I think the question now is whether our local contingent of Democrats are doing likewise.

The press conference was excellent, too.  Time for the locals to do the same.

As we are meeting with seniors across the state, we have become increasingly concerned with the affordability issues in MA. Many are being pushed out of their homes because of our high property taxes and cost of living. It needs to change.
