And one of the big guys trying to muscle casinos into the Commonwealth is none other than Newt’s key funder, Sheldon Adelson
The key funder is right-wing casino kingpin Sheldon Adelson, who has pumped over $3 million into the organization since its beginning in 2006. A total of fourteen Bush pioneers have contributed over $4 million to Newt’s ASWF. Eight of those same right-wing money men are top McCain fundraisers, channeling $2 million into his coffers.
The gambling industry and the “energy” industry make such great patriotic middle-class leaning pals. The front page of ASWF features their campaigns to get rid of the EPA and abolish health care reform with protections for human beings with pre-existing conditions.
