The CHIP that’s a wedge

November 5, 2007 By Charley on the MTA Leave a Comment

Yes indeed, with a big assist from a "mule-headed" President, the Democrats have indeed figured out that kids' health care is a.) really popular, and b.) a shillelagh with which to pound the GOP in 2008:Robert Blendon, a professor of … [Read more...]

MA-05: It wasn’t that great.

October 18, 2007 By Charley on the MTA 31 Comments

Regarding Tuesday night's results, I had a rather intemperate post ready to go early Wednesday, and the further analysis here, by David and others, gave me pause. But I just can't shake the conclusion that it shouldn't have … [Read more...]

More MA-05: what about the Dems who voted in the primary but didn’t vote for Niki yesterday?

October 17, 2007 By David 33 Comments

As David Bernstein points out, there were some Democratic voters who showed up for the primary, but who either stayed home or jumped ship for the general.  The total number of votes in the Democratic primary was 55,517.  But … [Read more...]

11/11 The Globe, is worried #mapoli will "turn into a one-party state." WAKE. UP. WE'RE. THERE. ALREADY. It's just the media that can't handle the extinction of MassGOP. It's time them to attend some group therapy sessions for its grief. Enough denial. Move forward.

10/11 Once you grasp the MassGOP is now an uncompromising religion and not a political party who feels responsibilities to #mapoli and does not see success at the ballot box as its mission, all that is left is for all of us who disagree is to ask, "What do we do about that?"

@MattRuggiero8 This is about the @BostonPolice using @BostonSchools children to keep the "Charles E. Shannon Anti-Gang Community Safety Initiative grant," and millions from Homeland Security.

Remember it's not about "the children," it's about making money off of them!
